The sweet sounds of voices that represent 40 different countries have united once again for the annual Eurovision song competition. The contest has been broadcasted each year for the past 59 years, proving to be a highly regarded competition that causes excitement within communities each year.
The 2015 Eurovision competition is being held in Vienna, Austria
This year's competition has drawn Australia's attention with our much loved Australian artist, Guy Sebastian due to preform and represent Australia on Saturday 23rd May 2015 (early Sunday 24th May). Sebastian will be writing history when he steps on the stage as he is the very first Australian artist to compete at the Eurovision Song Competition.
Sebastian, 33, is 'is the only Australian male artist to have ever achieved six number one singles and two number one albums in chart history.' He is currently one of the favourites within the competition and has a real chance at winning. However, he is currently battling a case of the flu saying 'I'm a little crook'.
Sebastian has had many hit singles such as 'Like a drum', 'Battle scars' as well as his most recent 'Tonight Again'. All of these songs have proven to make the Australian singer a home town favourite; however, the singer has never really been able to become a popular singer outside of his own waters.
For Sebastian’s performance, he will be singing his most recent single 'Tonight Alive' which is currently creeping up higher in the charts and is expected to climb even higher after Sebastian's performance.
