It's been a while! How are you? What's been going on in your life?
My 2 month (approximately...) period of M.I.A has been due to simply living my life to the fullest and experiencing a totally different environment. I have recently started my bachelor of media and communications with a major in Journalism, and there is only one word that I can use to describe my experience: INCREDIBLE! I go to uni for a total of 11 hours a week, that leaves me with so many hours to yes study, but also go out at night with friends, to read a book without feeling guilty that I'm not studying, catch up with friends, actually, more importantly, MAKE NEW FRIENDS! University has been amazing in terms of making friends! I can officially say that I have my own little squad :')
With my new found freedom and time, I've been able to experience places such as a night club (which I NEVER thought I'd go to one), I've been able to go adventuring with my best friend Bec, and I've been able to take time out for myself and watch full TV series' in a day (Any Nashville fans out there?).
I've also been planning and scheming to push myself to new limits. As a person who hates crowds and hates (with a passion) doing anything out of her comfort zone, this past little period in my life has seen these limits completely abolished in some cases. As I mentioned before, I never thought I'd go to a club! A couple of weeks ago, if you had of asked me to go to a club I would have immediately shut you down. I'd blame it on the fact that it 'wasn't my scene' or 'I'm not into being around people drinking' or 'It's too far'. I would seriously find ANY excuse not to go. But actually, when I got to the night club, everything that I thought would happen, didn't happen! I actually enjoyed myself!
Enough of the past though, what's for the future?
I can't really answer that, because the future is unpredictable. I have plans to go on a tour around Europe next year before studying in London for a couple of months. But for the rest of the year, I have no plans - and to be perfectly honest with you.... It feels great! Yes I have deadlines for uni (who doesn't), but I don't have anything outside of uni that I have to get done!
And so, among all my freedom and adventures, I want to circle back to this blog and writing for all of you!
