Make up and miniature sized products are my absolute favourites! So when these two things are combined, it’s like Christmas all at once! They are useful for on the go as well as look absolutely adorable! A makeup brand that I have never bought from before, Too Faced, recently brought out their limited addition ‘Totally Obsessed’ pack.
Packaged in a tiny, hand-sized box comes five of their best-selling products – One melted liquefied long wear lipstick in the colour ‘Chihuahua’, one chocolate soleil matte bronzer, one better than sex mascara, one hang over face primer and a shadow insurance eye shadow primer.
On a whole, the concept of this little packet is great. It allows customers to try multiple products on multiple occasions before buying a full sized version. This proved to be really beneficial to myself, and I’m sure a lot of other people that have bought this pack. Retailing at $36 Australian dollars, the set is worth it.
The first product I think is worth mentioning is the Hangover Face Primer. It comes in a small 5mL bottle, with a tiny squeeze tip applicator. It’s really simple to use and is applied as a nice smooth base. I did notice a difference from when I use this primer to my regular primer (which is the face primer by Arbonne). My foundation seemed to stay on all day and looked quite fresh and vibrant even at the end of the day. However, I didn’t find that the concept of ‘a little goes a long way’ applied in this situation. A lot of this product is needed in order to cover your whole face – which is very frustrating.

Next is the Shadow Insurance Eye Primer which comes in a 5g miniature bottle. I never have been one to use a specific eye primer, I just place my usual primer onto my eyelids. When applying my Urban Decay Naked Pallet on top of the primer it was obvious that the colour was much more vibrant and there was no fallout from the shadow’s shimmer. Although the product states that is ‘insurance’ to prevent creasing, a defined crease did form in the shadow that was in my crease through the day.

The third thing I tried from this set was the Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer which is described on the box as the ‘tan without the twinkle’. Oh my gosh, the first thing I have to mention is the incredibly chocolatey smell that just makes me want to eat the whole thing! It’s absolutely amazing – a make up product that can smell like food can win my heart very easily! But, without the bias of the chocolate smell, I can honestly say that this bronzer is such a perfect colour for a person with pale toned skin. It’s gives a warm bronzed look to the skin without looking overpowerful. It’s a product that feels light on the skin and is easy to blend.
This is a product I will definitely be purchasing in full.

When this product first hit shelves, I was very confused as to how someone thought this would be a great name for a mascara. The Better Than Sex mascara does do its job very well! The lashes only need one coat and they are evenly spread, layered with colour and the extension of lashes is quite nice. The lashes look natural and not over the top. The applicator is also very soft and feels quite nice on the lashes.
I am not a girl who curls their lashes every morning before she puts mascara on… I am just too lazy for that. This mascara makes your lashes look like they have been curled and it holds this curl all day! Although I would like the mascara to also thicken the lashes as well as lengthen them like the Tarte’s ‘Lights, Camera, Flashes’ mascara this one is a pretty good every day mascara.

This final product was the one I was most excited about. I have heard people all over the internet raving about how amazing this product is but I just don’t see it. Too Face’s Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick was the only product I was disappointed with in this whole set. The 5mL bottle comes in the colour ‘Chihuahua’ and when swatched it’s a very brown toned colour. At first I thought it would be way too dark for me when put on the lips, however, it is a nice nude colour when placed on the lips. The applicator makes it easy to apply and does not pull at the lips at all. However, it can prove to be a little difficult to make a precise line around the lips.
The length of time that this product stayed on the lips was what I was most excited about. Everything I had heard said that the product would stay on the lips for hours even with drinking and eating in between. However, when I first wore it I put the product on right before I left for work and 20 minutes later when I got to work the product was gone. It was really disappointing as I was most excited about this product and my friend Toni had said that it was a lipstick product she lived by. It is a product that I will keep trying to see if there is any improvement but my faith in this product is slim.
